Yoichi Ueno (1883-1957), Founder Yoichi Ueno, founder, is a scholar in the fields of Business Administration and Industrial Psychology. He graduated from the Philosophy Department (Psychology major) of Tokyo Imperial University. After graduation, he studied issues in business efficiency and scientific management, and became a specialist in scientific management. He has been called the father of business administration in Japan. As the first management consultant in Japan, he introduced American management concepts and techniques to Japanese industry. Due to his achievements introduced in “The Golden Book of Management”, he became known in Europe and the US. His management philosophy: blending F. W. Taylor's scientific management system and Oriental thought for which he has received considerable attention and praise. |
